2024 WateReuse Texas Conference

WateReuse Texas invites reuse professionals to share your latest research, innovation, and/or case studies by submitting an abstract or presentation proposal for the 2024 WateReuse Texas Conference on September 9-11 in Austin, Texas at the Austin Permitting & Development Center. The submission deadline is Friday April 19, 2024 at 11:59 Central time.

Presentation format can be either of the following:

30-minute presentation: An in-depth technical presentation by one or more presenters, typically with 20-25 min for the talk and 5-10 min for Q&A

60-minute presentation or panel: An interactive 60-minute discussion of a single topic by multiple presenters. Panels need to consist of 3-4 panelists (excluding a moderator), representing a diversity of voices across the water sector with at least one utility representative.

Content must be educational and not advocate for any specific technology or company solution so that we can offer TCEQ CEU credits for as many hours as possible. WateReuse Texas encourages submissions from presenters which include a diversity of voices including water and wastewater utility representation (especially small utilities) and young professionals. We will also give priority to projects in Texas or that directly affect Texas.

All submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • Title (up to 10 words or 80 characters)
  • Summary (up to 50 words or 400 characters)
  • Abstract (two pages or less)
  • Primary speaker/author contact information
  • Primary speaker/author bio (100 words or less)
  • Co-author/panelist/co-speaker contact information
  • Bios for all panelists and/or co-authors (100 words or less)

Selected speakers are required to register for the conference and should submit PowerPoint files by September 5, 2024. All presentations will be delivered in person in Austin, Texas and presenters agree that WateReuse Association can record presentations and capture photos. Submission questions should be emailed to ngeorge@watereuse.org.
